Jarvis Gourmet Foods!

Where do I begin.... A Nurse by training, two energetic kids, a very supportive husband and here I am, living a fantasy following my heart and creative passions into the culinary arts. As with all start ups I suppose there is that period of anticipation and optimism followed by the reality that whatever happens it is going to take a seriously large ladle full of hard work, a generous portion of dedication, a healthy spoonful of passion, several pinches of good luck and simmer it with Love.

My passion for food, an inquisitive and experimental nature had me looking at the availability of locally grown produce to create an affordable high quality Food, Pasalubong and Sauces line which could stand up as not only uniquely FILIPINO but with a NEGRENSE touch and also with an acceptable to international taste. I used local plants such as Kang Kong, Saluyot and Basil leaves to name a few, as well as unique Filipino cheeses such as Kesong Puti. We have several products already in the marketplace and more being experimented with for introduction all of the time..

"Red Rice Crunch" is the latest product launched by us, a unique snack made as the name suggests from Organic red rice and with Malunggay. A delicious snack for anyone and any occasion or can also be used as a side dish with your meal or as a base for your salads.

"Krispee Kangkong”. It is very unique, delicious, “crispylicious”, and at this time the only packaged crispy Kang Kong available! It is a great snack food for the family straight from the packet. No reheating needed. Just eat and enjoy the variety of flavours.

Saluyot Cheese Spread. “Saluyot” is a local plant with many Phytogens, minerals and vitamins mixed with a variety of cheeses herbs and spices. We have a spread that once it is open and tasted, it is not likely to last long. For Kids from one to a hundred, it is a tasty and nutritious spread that goes well on your favourite toast, crackers, bread, or a base for all types of sandwiches. In fact its uses are unlimited by your imagination.

Pesto Sauce. Pesto has been a favourite sauce for Pastas for many years around the world. Our Pesto is Very Fresh made out of the premium quality basil leaves. It contains no preservatives but only fresh produce from the Negros and all of the vitamins and minerals, flavour and deep
original colour of the ingredients. It is a very tasty addition to your Pasta, wonderful as a dip or spread, and versatile as a sauce for countless dishes.

Tuna Tapenade. A Filipino twist based on the original sauce and more palatable to the local taste. The original sauce containing the basic ingredients of capers and olives was used to top and complement fish dishes. Tuna Tapenade has a distinctive and original taste and apart from being a great addition to your fish dishes, it goes well with your pastas and even Pizza. It makes an interesting topping for your Canapés and just as easily, a spread or dip for your favourite crackers and biscuits.

Gourmet Keso. What could be more Negrense than our range or Gourmet Keso made from local Kesong Puti. It comes in several styles and varieties. It is an absolute taste explosion just waiting for you to explore. It makes another great topping for your Pastas, Pizza, Bruschetta and green salads or even indulging oneself straight from the jar. (Now only made to order in Quantities of 24 or more)

Puttanesca is another one of our many popular sauces. All of our sauces have their own unique twist and when combined with locally grown produce they add a splash of the Philippines to your everyday, as well as your special day cooking!
Try, experiment, and enjoy them when you get a chance. Many satisfying experiences waiting to happen, all with no preservatives and just the goodness of the Philippines in a jar waiting for you to open, explore and enjoy. Eat well!

Jarvis Gourmet Foods also produces a mouth watering range of Jams that uses only the best locally grown whole fruits. We have single fruits, fruit mixes and some original and unusual combinations that complement each other. Indulge as you will surely love them!

As many in the Philippines, we Filipinos sometimes look for a way out rather than a way to make it or be successful within our country, we look to the “Greener Pasture” rather than to the incredible reality and opportunities that is just within the Philippines. For me, I am living “My Dream”. And with these products, you can be part of that Dream and the reality of the Philippines as a land of opportunity.

Jarvis Gourmet Foods 2010 the new adventure.

The start up was exciting and at times frustrating but our exploration for various taste sensations have continued. A move from a domestic set up to our new premises in Molave Street in Capitol Shopping gave us space and a new lease of life, the space opened up new areas of expansion and exploration which has seen the launch of our latest and what is proving to be our most exciting adventure yet; Bakery products with a twist, lighter, tastier and with more flare.

Ensaimada; What could we do to improve upon one of the staple and best loved quick foods in the land? First we could give it a lighter less stodgy texture, we could use prime and high quality ingredients and we could try not only traditional flavours but experiment on a new range of flavours as well.
Muscovado Coconut Jam flavour is our latest in a long line of quality products that have been successful Bulawan competition entry products. This tasty light, melt in your mouth Ensaimada. takes your taste buds to new places as you bite into this moist and highly affordable filling snack. that tastes like a luxurious treat.

Banana Choco Muffins: A tasty muffin that has proved a hit in many outlets and is also provided to order in midi size for your parties or catering needs. This is again a light and moist snack that is just brimming with flavour and delightful textures.

Rich Muscovado Fruit Cake: These started out as a festive product, aimed at the Christmas market. They have proved to be so popular though that they are now available all year round. This dark fruit laden cake is a treat at anytime of the year but especially good at times of family gatherings.
