Polish Jam Kolaches
Ingredients
1/2 cup of softened butter or margarine
3 ounces of soft cream cheese
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
Jar of your favourite jam.... or various jams
1/4 cup sifted confectioners sugar
How 2
Beat butter or margarine and cream cheese in mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Add flour gradually until you have a consistent dough
Roll dough to about a 1/8 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 2-inch circles (Use a glass). Spoon 1/4 teaspoon jam into center of each circle. makes about 24 - 30 depending on the size of the glass.
Fold opposite edges together, slightly overlapping edges.
Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Remove to a wire rack for cooling and then sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
