Peanut Butter Blossoms
Ingredients
1/2 cup softened Butter
1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar.
1 large egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Sugar for rolling
48 chocolate pieces (or a variety of 48 or so toppers)
How 2
Preheat oven to cookie cooking temperature 375 degrees F.
Cream together butter, peanut butter, sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat well.
Mix the flour, baking soda and salt together and add to creamed mixture slowly and mixing until a stiff dough is formed.
Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Top each cookie immediately with a chocolate piece or a cherry or any variety of tasty topping you fancy.
Press down firmly so that the cookie cracks around edge and then remove from cookie sheets onto a cooling rack to cool.
Good toppings are Kisses, Rolos, M&M's, jelly tots, cherries, raisins etc.
