Tasty Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup pecan halves
2/3 cup butter
1 cup chopped or grated milk chocolate

How 2

take the flour and one cup of brown sugar and add the 1/2 cup softened butter to a large mixer bowl. Use a medium speed on the mixer for a couple of minutes and if by hand sit down and use your fingers until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Pour out the mixture onto an ungreased 13 x 9 inch baking pan and pat down evenly.
Sprinkle pecans evenly over crumb mixture.
Now take the other butter and rest of the sugar and place into a saucepan and heat at a medium heat until the entire surface has a surface of bubbles. Continue to heat for a further 90 seconds stitting constantly.
Pour the saucepans contents onto the mixture in the baking pan evenly over the crust.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 18 to 20 minutes. The surface will resemble the moon with bubble craters and bubbles everywhere.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the chocolate which will start to melt. Let the pan stand for 2 to 3 minutes and then make some swirl patterns in the chocolate.

Cool completely in the pan on wire rack. Use sharp knife to cut into pieces 24, 36 or 48. Depends on how you count.

If I cut into 12 pieces then I only have one or maybe 2 but it sound so many more when you have 6 of 48................. Smile
